Q. Do I need to have a lot of my own?
A. No, we have lots that are available for construction in Heatherwood as well as availability to lots in Decatur and surrounding areas.
Q. I own a lot but it is not completely paid for, does this matter? A. No, in some cases the construction loan program you choose enables you to include the lot payoff in the initial construction draw.
Q. Once we break ground, how long does the building process take?
A. Typically 6-8 months.
Q. Will Reeves General Contractors attend my loan closing?
A. Only if the home you are purchasing is listed by Reeves. Normally we don’t attend loan closings for construction/permanent financing loans. The details of your financing should not impact the construction process of the home.
Q. What do I need to bring to the Discovery meeting?
A. You will want to bring the following items: floorplans, an abstract or lot description. If you haven’t decided on a floorplan, think of the number of rooms you will need and style house you are interested in.
Q. What is an abstract? A. An abstract is the legal document that tracks the lineage of the property, gives the full legal description of the property, and includes any protective covenants that must be adhered to in constructing your home.
